They serve the citizens of Bluffdale, Holladay, Midvale, Millcreek, Murray, Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake County Metro Townships.  Their services include: animal control, adoptions, pet licensing/microchipping, humane education, foster & volunteer opportunities, and more.

Salt Lake County Animal Services is dedicated to providing superior support, education, protection, and advocacy for all animals and members of the community. Check out the below pets of the week if you’re interested in adoption!

Are you ready to adopt your very own “Rocky” of the dog world? Meet Sylvester, a sweet and sensitive pup with a heart as big as his namesake! This lovable dog may not throw punches, but he definitely knows how to knock you out with his affectionate personality. This gentle boy loves to lean in for affection, and you’ll often find him with his head on the ground and his butt in the air, scooting around like he’s training for a doggie championship!

Sylvester is the perfect blend of energy and chill. He has those delightful bursts of enthusiasm that will make you want to join in on the fun, whether it’s a game of running around the yard or a lively stroll around the neighborhood. But don’t worry-after a good play session, he’s more than happy to settle down and soak up the sun, just like a true champion on his well-deserved rest day.
