If you walk up to Colonel’s kennel, you’re most likely to be greeted by barely contained wiggles of excitement. Beneath this enthusiasm lies a lack of confidence, leaving Colonel nervous and uncertain about his surroundings. Maybe that’s why even after 98 days he’s still waiting to find a home.
In typical lab fashion Colonel loves to play. Particularly he loves tennis balls and adventures. Even with his anxiety we have observed Colonel thrive when given the opportunity. A volunteer stated, “Colonel is a very sweet pup! He tends to be a bit nervous but with time and some confidence building, I think he’d be an excellent addition to someone’s family! He’s happy to explore and likes to give kisses.” From learning to sit and shake on command, to expertly walking at parks. Colonel has the potential to be a great companion!
We believe that Colonel would do well in a variety of homes, though he may require some help in building his confidence. Nonetheless, we believe that much of that will come with time in a secure home. This affectionate canine would be a welcome addition to any family! With his goofy personality and playful nature. Please share this post to help find Colonel’s forever home!
