Wow! The spring is off to a great start for this Salt Lake City brewery. We won the Best Brewery award at Lagerville, kicked off a new collaboration series, and the calendar is loaded with fun events.

People’s Choice: Best Brewery

We love our lagers, and the people do too: we won Best Brewery at Lagerville in April. Out of over 50 amazing breweries, we are so honored to take home the People’s Choice Best Brewery award and make our way into the Lagerville Hall of Fame. We brought our Granary Kellerbier, Beechwood Rauch Bier, and München Helles Lager.

Introducing the Saving Gracie Foundation Series

We’ve teamed up with our friends at the Saving Gracie Foundation for a summer-long collaboration series to benefit animal rescue. Horse Thief Berliner Weisse came out last month, as the first in the series.

Named after the Horse Thief herself, Barb Phillips, founder of Saving Gracie Foundation. Barb came upon an injured and neglected horse living on a ranch in Utah. Her heart ached as she saw this sweet young horse suffering—so she made a daring decision. Barb stole the horse, got her medical care, and brought her to an undisclosed location. A year later, when police came to investigate the theft, Barb stood her ground. “You can take me to jail,” she said, “but I will never allow that horse to go back to those horrible people.” Saving Gracie Foundation has since rescued and provided sanctuary for over 50 animals, including horses, mustangs, cows, chickens, and cats.

Back by popular demand: our Blue Sky Dinner Series. The ultra-talented team at The Lodge at Blue Sky pairs farm-fresh artisan foods with a selection of our beers for an intimate multi-course meal. The first dinner in the series celebrates a time-honored Utah farming tradition: preserving fruits and vegetables. Our meal on May 30th will be full of bright flavors and heirloom ingredients — get your tickets soon; with a max of 30 guests, it will sell out!

Pet Adoption Event

Feeling like something’s missing this spring? Maybe it’s time for a new friend. Our longtime partnership with Salt Lake County Animal Services continues with our Pet of the Week series and an adoption event on our patio Saturday, May 13th. SLCAS will bring dogs available for adoption and a binder with information on all available pets. TF will cover the adoption fees. The last time we did this, we found new homes for all of the dogs!

Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine recently rated our Ferda IPA and 210 IPA. We got great scores on both, but are over the moon with a 97 for our Ferda, which puts it into the “extraordinary world-class beers of superlative character and flawless execution” category. We’re blushing.
